This is so true. You've just given a shining example of how yoga's lessons spread through the rest of your life.
For what it's worth, I find myself getting impatient with my practice sometimes, too. Those are the days I tell myself, 'I will do yoga for X amount of time and just give whatever poses my full attention in that time.' Then the practice becomes an oasis and calms and focuses me for the rest of my life.
I am starting to teach finn again today,he said the other day he was missing yoga.so we have it as part of our homeschooling...daily God willing.. Wow. He's amazing to articulate that! And to want it. But then, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
I love the pictures. They're beautiful and a graveful reminder of what religion can offer.

hi corinne ,
thankx for your message. tonight I had an hour of practise.
yoga is my shield,I cannot stress this to myself enough!when I dont fully commit,life just doesnt seem to flow right,you know?
so corinne,I am doing an hour each evening God willing. do I follow just the one dvd so my body can get used to it?

why wanted
1 - general fitness and well being 2 - yoga is my spiritual shield 3 - strength and flexibility 4 - to be super flexible in yoga and life 5 - to realign my body and strengthen self discipline
major benifit :more flexibility and freedom for dance and for life
Obstacles and solutions
1 - self motivation - just do it 2 - busy day - just do it 3 - get borred - do it anyway 4 - talk myself out of it - just do it 5 - feel angry/upset - just do it
PLAN

notes:
head - relaxed neck - a little tense shoulders- right shoulder tense arms - nice and strong wrists - right one slightly weak,thougfh better today than yesterday chest - good belly - nice and strong back - needs more strengthening.had a couple of clunks and clicks,very relaxing hips - a litte tense,though few relieving clicks. legs - very strong knees - no probs ankles/feet - no problems.
over all,my strength is better even in only one evening.sitting postures,my back felt a huge workout,I almost felt sick at one point...mad huh! my breathing was better,my right shoulder feels less tense than yesterday,thank goodness.
my fabourite was any move that involved hanging like a ragdoll,felt like a massage of the spine.

hour : number three mood when started : irritable,a little tired/low mood when finished : peaced,neautral,creative,clear inner vision
I have to do an hour of yoga each day,I have to do an hour of yoga before a show,before a video shoot,before bed.yoga is my shield,its like my own inner world,my own inner womb where I can just be comfortable within my own skin,it takes away my voice,my thoughts and replaces me with melody and vision.It makes me realise how alive I am.nothing in the past nor future matters ,just here and now...thats all that matters.

hour number: 4!!
feels like uite alott,my wrist is back in action,I was able to put weight on it and was no problem!my right shoulder is still a little tense,but much better than it was four yoga hours ago.
tonight I worked with a different dvd,the swan position,I managed to form that position,I mean I am sure I could do better,but for tonight I was very happy I could hold both ankles and round up ,excellent!!!
it was hard,I tried talking myself out of coming to the mat..but i thought about letting myself down,no way,not an option,I realy am giving this all i got.
before i WAS SO STRESSED NOW I feel so much better.thankyou God.Its like God has held me and given me a huge loving hug.

hour number 5
I started with some deep meditation,my body and mind were restless,though I know with practise I will grow calmer. my mind like a cool calm lake,thats my goal. I had a few stresses surface,but I let them be washed away with my breathing.
my wrist is back in full action,only strains a teeny bit when I write,just my thumb. I think alott of stress has been held in there.
my right shoulder still has problems,though it is constantly clunking,clicking and readjusting itself,in time it will realign and feel amazing
I have been practising with an indian dvd,I will go back to yogazone tomorrow,I like to keep some variation on my practise,it keeps it interesting for me.
a new year is around the corner,I am very exited.we are to be moving house soon,I am maintaining calmness about it and meditating/praying that all goes smooth and have been blessing the house ready fpr the new family.they have had alott of troubles and I know this house and new place will be a hug they realy need.
we are still going to finish off the painting.my new conviction:
* I always finish what I start

happy new year!!!
well here we are in 2008,I am so exited! I am looking at my yoga routine for january. now,I need to work out my routine around preparing for shows.I need to do 20 minutes before singing/rehearsing and then 20 minutes afterwards,applying yellow theme breathing.
so yes,40 minutes an evening,add that to the 20 minutes I do in a morning and I am doing an hour a day which is fantastic as thats what I need to be doing

This sounds fabulous! This is going to get you so energized, flexible and strong. You'll be amazing!
Also, to recap our email, a daily schedule like that is going to produce some amazing results. After a week or two, you'll start noticing a difference in your flexibility and endurance. After a month or two, you'll start reaching horizons you've never reached before. Sometime around then, you'll also start having physical breakthroughs. Your body will start to overcome some long standing restrictions and start to shift into naturally better allignment, which can remedy many long standing conditions. Also 3 - 6 months into a program of that intensity, you'll start having emotional and mental breakthroughs. These are the most exciting of all. They start transforming you life.
That's a lot of benefits. Those who climb the mountain get the view at the top. 
It's been a week since you made that commitment to yourself. How's it going?
